Age: 76

Date of Death: July 04, 2024

Beech Grove, IN

Ms. Betty Jane (Huffman) Renollet died peacefully in her sleep, on the morning of July 4, 2024 in Greenwood, Indiana. She was 76. Jane was born on July 20, 1947 to George and Marjorie Huffman. She was a very proud alum of Broad Ripple High School. Though she spent a few years living in Florida, most of her life was spent in living and working in Indianapolis. Jane is survived by her six children, Scott, Rick, HD, April, Chris, and Heather. She is also survived by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Marjorie Huffman, her sister, Judy Stewart, and her niece Tammy Beach. Jane is remembered as a fighter. She fought through many struggles throughout her life, many times not coming out on top. She, however, encouraged this fighter mentality within her children and grandchildren, who continued to consistently make her proud with their accomplishments. Jane was a family woman. One of her favorite activities was finding a reason for all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to get together, enjoy good food, and enjoy each other’s company. She created traditions that her family will continue to hold, for many years to come. Jane was always up for an adventure. Whether she was taking her young kids to an amusement park, boot-scootin’ across a dance floor, or taking cruises on the world’s oceans, Jane always lived like there may not be a tomorrow. As she could, she tried to instill this ideal in everyone she crossed paths with. She was a friend to a stranger, often explaining that you should be kind to those you meet, as you never know what struggles they have been faced with. There will not be a service for Jane, as it was her wish not to have one. If anyone is so inclined, they may make a donation to North Shore Animal League America in her memory.
